Insufficient

In a conversation with Jack yesterday, the subject of Sufficient Grounds Coffee House (now the Laughing Moon Cafe) came up. I realized I hadn’t been there in a while, and would appreciate an evening spent sitting, reading a book, and watching the world go by. The only problem was, I didn’t have a book with me. So after work I headed out to Barnes and Noble in west Little Rock, spent too much money on books, and went back east to the Laughing Moon. Upon arriving I found that it had closed its doors and had a “for sale” sign in front. Well, that was annoying. I had wasted a drive across Little Rock. I ended up getting dinner at Carino’s, which was fine, but not as satisfying an experience. I hope someone buys the cafe, re-opens it, and has a booming business.

I saw that the other day and it made me sad. I loved that place when it was sufficient grounds and have a million memories there. I love the location and the building itself. If re economy wasn't so bad, I'd probably try to talk my brother into buying it with me so we could open the coffeeshop we used to talk about opening when we were younger.
